CreativeTone was created by David to provide a platform for creating new musical ideas via a jazz quartet medium.  The core musical group consists of the following:​

                    Raquel Lozano - Vocals

                    Derrick James - Sax /

                    Fareed Mahluli - Sax

                    Joel Stewart - Piano

                    David Penn - Bass 

                    Tracy Williams - Drums

​The album titled "Back On Track" is the first of several albums that will be recorded by CreativeTone.  "Next Step" is the second album recorded by the group features Fareed Mahluli (Sax) and will be released in February 2026.  All of the songs were written and composed by David and provide insight into the future creative direction of the group.
